Alliance Art Opening

We at Collective Arts Brewing have always been fascinated with the underground art scene. Working with notable Montreal-based artist and Osheaga Arts Creative Director, Fred Caron, we brought together 12 well-known street artists and illustrators from Montreal and Toronto for a unified street art/visual show between two cultural hubs; something never been done before in Toronto.

The artists, Bryan BeyungLindsay Campbell, Mathieu Connery aka 500mJamie LawsonLabronaKathryn MacNaughtonPeru 143Jon Todd, WhatIsAdamBruno SmokyNimit MalaviaFred Caron, have all come together to create 12 original pieces specifically for The Alliance art show, running until May 25th at Spazio Dell’Arte Gallery, 400 Eastern Ave #201, Toronto, ON.

On May 20th, we hosted an opening night preview at the gallery where art lovers, beer lovers, media (including publications like BlogTO, The Walrus, The Grid, National Post to name a few) and artists enjoyed a night of ingenuity, collaboration and great beer. We also revealed the special limited-edition Alliance label bottles – hitting LCBO shelves this July.

Guests of honour included Fred Caron himself and The Alliance artists Nimit Malavia, Kathryn MacNaughton, Jon Todd, Peru 143 and Jamie Lawson. Collective Arts brews were had, Hot Bunzz Street Cuizine was eaten, and live music from Series Two artists Natural Animal and Digits was danced to as we partied and brought the street world and the gallery world a little closer together.
