THANK YOU: Collective Arts Brewing VOTED BEST NEW BREWER IN ONTARIO 2013 BY RATEBEER, one of the top consumer sites on the world wide web dedicated to craft beer and craft beer culture, has recently released their RateBeer Best Awards for 2013 and the people have spoken: Collective Arts Brewing is this year’s Best New Brewery in Ontario! We want to thank all the craft beer drinkers for sharing our appreciation for quality and creativity, voting and giving us this amazing honour.

Our spectacularly skilled brewmaster-in-residence, Ryan Morrow (who’s also completed an undergrad degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph), has worked with us to create our two exceptional inaugural beers. Rhyme & Reason Extra Pale Ale, our flagship beer, has a 96 overall rating on It is a hop forward yet sessionable beer, and far less bitter than your typical American IPA. Rhyme & Reason uses hops from the U.S.’s Pacific Northwest region – Citra, Centennia, Chinook and Simcoe, for an experience you can’t easily find in other Canadian crafts. Malt sweetness in the background complements the hops for a crisp finish.

Our Saint of Circumstance Citrus-Infused Blonde Ale uses Centennial, Citra and Amarillo hops and the zest of fresh seasonal citrus fruits. Tropical, citrus and grapefruit notes from the hops brighten the subtle flavour of the citrus fruits. This remarkably well-balanced and easy-drinking beer is proving to be quite the fan favourite.

Thanks again to all our supporters. We are incredibly grateful, appreciative and happy to be on beer lovers’ radars after just a few short months of being on the market. If you haven’t had a chance to rate us on, we would appreciate your comments. Cheers to that!
