Sales Support & Brand Ambassador – Toronto Area

Role Expectations:

–          Reports directly to the Ontario Sales Manager

–          Will work with the Toronto sales team to help coordinate, merchandise and execute on-premise programming and tastings

–          Will be responsible for working festivals and events both in Toronto and out of town as necessary

–          May be called upon to conduct in-store tastings in the retail channel (LCBO and grocery)

–          Will cover a small territory of C level accounts with a goal to increase sales

–          Will occasionally be required to make emergency deliveries and therefore capable of lifting 50+ kgs.

–          May be asked to completed minor service calls and draught line cleaning (training will be provided)

–          Must have full time access to a reliable vehicle (a monthly car allowance will be provided)

Brewing Operations Manager – Arts & Science Brewery

The Arts & Science Brewery is a collaborative brewery founded by COLLECTIVE ARTS BREWING and NICKEL BROOK BREWING. Arts & Science is one of the largest and most progressive craft breweries in Canada. Collective Arts Brewing and Nickel Brook Brewing are two independently owned craft breweries which have joined forces to build a new and innovative cooperative brewing facility located in Hamilton, Ontario.

Position Summary
In conjunction with the Brewmaster, assist in; Planning, organization, direction, control and evaluation of the operations of the Brewing Department. Ensure completion of beer production and adherence to the standards set forth by Arts & Science, and the parent operating companies; Nickel Brook and Collective Arts. Aid in maintaining departmental quality standards, procedures and specifications. Ensure that the quality of the product is maintained through regular process testing and review via the standards and procedures set forth. Communicate these quality standards and practices, and their results, with members of the department and management. Support and implement company objectives while constantly working towards improving processes and procedures. Follow all policies and procedures and all company and departmental guidelines that may be in effect from time-to- time. In conjunction with other management, coordinate the creation and execution of the production schedule for both brewhouse and transferring finished beer for packaging.

Duties and responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily Brewing Dept. production
• Assist and/or lead in creating the brewing and packaging schedule, and ensure these tasks are met in a timely manner possible
• Managing inventory/storage of all raw ingredients and Brewing Dept. related work items
• Ordering/scheduling of raw and waste materials
• Data input and KPI tracking
• Driving continuous improvement with a focus on cost effectiveness and productivity increases
• Staff Scheduling
• Monitor, implement, communicate and maintain company quality standards and procedures
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards
• Effectively lead, supervise, motivate and manage Brewing Dept. employees
• Keep abreast of new methods, materials and equipment that might pertain to the Brewing Dept.
• Ensure proper orientation and training of departmental employees
• Promote and increase inter-departmental communication
• Promote and be a role model for positive feedback and constructive forms of identifying opportunities for improvement
• Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to direct reports to meet the goals of the organization
• Develop, maintain and nurture a positive work environment
• Ensure Brewing Dept. cleanliness is maintained to company standards
• Performs other related duties as required
• Cover for shift employees during vacation/sick leave, when necessary

Qualifications, Experience and Skills/Knowledge

Education:
• High school or equivalent
• College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Brewing specific post-high school is an asset

Experience:
• More than 3-5 years of professional brewing or brewing department (Cellars, filtration, QC, etc.) experience
• Experience in a brewing supervisory related role is an asset
• Experience with brewing related computer software implementation/usage is an asset
• Beer quality/consistency management and recipe development is an asset

Skills/Knowledge:
• Ability to effectively lead and motivate people
• Knowledge of all materials and equipment used in the brewing department
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and problem solve effectively and efficiently
• Computer skills
• Verbal/written/reporting skills
• Ability to communicate effectively Working conditions

Territory Manager: Collective Arts Brewing / Liquid Art Supply & Co. Vancouver, British Columbia

Role Profile

The Territory Manager is responsible for exceeding pre-determined sales objectives while providing industry and segment leading customer service to our current partners, while ensuing new business development. Our Territory managers passionately represent Collective Arts Brewing and Liquid Art Supply &Co partner brands, educate all partners, staff and consumers about our represented brands. By using consultative selling approach, seek opportunities to expand the distribution and thru-put of all brands in both the retail and licensee channels. 
 
Required Duties                                                                                      

  • Plan and execute a daily schedule of sales calls in a set call pattern (master route) focused on specific, value focused objectives.
  • Effectively planning daily, weekly or monthly/quarterly based goals and distribution objectives
  • Grow existing volume by leveraging impactful long term relationships with partners.
  • Strive to increase distribution on all Collective Arts and Liquid Art brands across all retail sales channels.
  • Prioritize territory growth opportunities based on scale and accessibility.
  • Network with all key customer stakeholders for identified opportunities to gain understanding of business operations.
  • Deliver impactful and detailed presentations in a confident manner to decision makers that are consistent with broader company values and brand objectives.
  • Fully utilize fact-based sales data to present the commercial value of Collective Art and Liquid Art brands.
  • Locate and secure impactful outlet visibility opportunities for brands in all facets within the geographical territory.
  • Identify and make inroads into “Key” accounts. Detail distribution, revenue and brand marketing opportunity.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (line manager, marketing group) to insure proper coverage and execution of all activities at the outlet level.
  • Co-create all annual outlet marketing plans.
  • Create and maintain all territory analyses and record keeping as required.
  • Follow up on all service related issues and opportunities in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Report on issues related to the competitive market and offer constructive suggestions for overcoming challenges.
  • Provides product and brand marketing knowledge through sales aides and staff training seminars.
  • Service and improve the marketability of our products through shelf management, display position and frequency, concept selling and price point management. 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years structured selling experience in a related field or industry. Able to provide a track record of meeting or exceeding target in a sales territory over a full fiscal year.
  • Reside within geographic boundaries of the sales territory.
