Family of the Year

"BLUE JEAN GIRL"

Family of the Year have been making music together since 2009 with the release of their debut album Songbook. Since then, the Los Angeles based folk storytellers have shared stages with some pretty impressive company including Ben Folds, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Mumford & Sons, leading to sold out shows across the U.S. for their first major headlining tour in 2013.

In 2014, director Richard Linklater helped get the band’s music out to an even bigger audience with his prominent usage of the song “Hero” (from their follow-up record Loma Vista) in his Oscar nominated film Boyhood. The song quickly became an international hit.
