About Andrew

Like many of our brewers, Andrew found his passion for beer in the comfort of his own home. Home-brewing gave him the drive to seek out his first job in the industry where he worked as a bartender for Silversmith Brewing in Niagara. They eventually got tired of him sneaking in the back to help with production, and before he knew it he was brewing for Silversmith.

When we asked him what the best part of working in the industry was he said, “There’s nothing NOT fun about beer. It’s a great mix of hard work and fun”. He jokingly adds, “I like telling people I’m a brewer. It validates me because it’s so cool.”

Andrew has been brewing with us for almost a year now, and we’re happy to have him on board not only for his brewing abilities but his stellar sense of humour.

Favourite Beer that he doesn’t make: Cursed, Trve Brewing, Denver

First beer he ever brewed: My first home brew was called Zack Attack APA (inspired by Saved by the Bell). It was pretty bad.

What he does when he’s not making beer:  I love dogs (I don’t have one) and I’m late for everything because I stop and pet dogs on the street. I also like to cook lavish meals for ONE. Sometimes I drink beer while I do both of these things.
