February 19th was one of those nights you don’t easily forget, Toronto. Not just because it was -40 outside (hi and welcome to Canada), but because we at Collective Arts threw a party complete with dancing lions and robots to celebrate an entire new crop of artists/musicians at our Series Four Label Reveal at The Garrison. The night also marked our year-anniversary of ART + BREWING, so going big was our only option.
Over 2,200 (!) submissions from 38 countries were considered for our Series Four labels – and of these, 80 were chosen by our jury and represent the best in talented artists, musicians, photographers from this round. To celebrate this massive creativity that’s come our way, we invited artists, musicians, friends, the GTA bar and music industry and, of course, craft beer lovers, to throw their hands up with us in the name of good beer and good art.
Highlights of the night included a tap takeover with FIVE of our Collective Arts beers: Rhyme & Reason, our award-winning XPA; Saint of Circumstance, our “any-time” blonde ale; State of Mind, our hoppy yet sessionable IPA; and TWO brand new brews, Ransack the Universe, Hemisphere IPA; and our Brewmaster’s Test Batch Porter. In between beers, our guests got to hang in two rooms – the front room showcasing the Series Four art and a running projection of our exclusive Black Box Sessions in partnership with Indie88, and the back room with performances by Series Four-ers Language Arts, Say Yes and Tupper Ware Remix Party, who closed out the night with a show that was part alien band from the future, part Daft Punk if they wore Iron Man suits with lasers. DJ Dougie Boom pumped us up between performances. Thanks again to everyone for coming out! Watch for our new Series Four beer labels to begin popping up where Collective Arts is sold in March!
