GENRE: Digital Art
Anne Martwijit is a digital artist based out of Bangkok, Thailand. She is fond of anything mystery; the characters in her work are inspired by witches, fairies, mythology and magic. You might recognize her piece, Rabbit Hole, from our latest run of Radio the Mothership tall cans.
CA: What stands out for you as one of your favourite career highlights so far?
AM: I’m thankful to be selected as one of the featured artists in Society6 Art Quarterly No.2.2 (it was my first press 🙂 )
CA: What are you currently working on?
AM: I’m working on finding new ideas for my next project. At the moment, I let the sea and sun lead my creativity.
CA: How’d you get started as an artist/musician?
AM: I was a Graphic Designer for many years and has always been fascinated by the possibilities digital art can create. In 2014, I quitted my conventional job and pursued my freedom of creating as a digital artist. I have had so much fun and enjoy every minute of it so far.
CA: Who or what influences your art?
AM: I’m fond of anything mystery — mythologies, witches, fairies and magic have great influence on my work.
CA: What is your creative process like?
AM: I like to roughly sketch my ideas on a piece of paper and on a computer program, I bring all the colors and little other details to live and finish my work inside the program.
CA: How do you feel our Art + Brewing initiative can benefit emerging artists?
AM: This concept is like a mobile gallery that helps open up more opportunity for artists to show their works and grow more audience.
