Huttch

Windsor, ON, Canada

Title: Get Up

Category: Music

Genre: Rock

Band Name: Huttch

Rock n’ roll is a tired old friend, limping along with a weak knee. With the grandparents still touring, the parents reforming and the adolescents swimming in a pool of mediocrity, its essence seems to have lost its way. Thanks then, for the arrival of Huttch, the ambitious rock trio from Windsor Ontario. Weaned on 70’s grooves, Sebastian, Robbie and Zack manage to reference the past, while giving a nod to the future. The infectious rock boogie, mixed with classic rock and slow jams, makes the perfect formula. This is authenticity at it’s best. Seeing these guys live is an entirely different matter. Their fervent energy is palpable and they won’t let you go, until they are sure you have had enough. And it is never enough. You will leave a Huttch show with a carefree swagger you didn’t know you had. And don’t be surprised if you start air drumming for no particular reason

Sebastian Abt / Guitar, Vocals

Down the Road

/ Z'otz Collective

Z’otz* Collective is a group of three artists with Latin American roots: Nahúm Flores (Honduras), Erik Jerezano (Mexico), and Ilyana Martínez (Mexico/Canada). Formed in Toronto in 2004, Z’otz* collaborates on multi-media works, which include drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and site–specific drawing installations. All of our pieces are made in true collaboration by six hands, as we rotate the works while creating them, allowing each of us to have input in every piece using watercolour, pencil, ink, charcoal, collage, gouache and ceramics. The works reflect a peculiar style through the language of hybrid beasts, quirky characters, and imaginary spaces. Since 2004 they have exhibited in galleries and artist-run centres across Canada, in the US, Mexico and Europe. They have attended art residencies in Serbia and Croatia. In 2015 Z’otz* created a mural for the PanAm Path in Toronto, coinciding with the PanAm Games. In 2018 they will show ceramic sculptures at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
