What stands out for you as one of your favourite career highlights so far?
Creating a custom 52 piece playing card deck. What are you currently working on?
My solo comic book series QUEST: An attack on a national landmark erupts conflict between religion, politics, spirituality and magical sects. Survivors of the attack, form groups and set out to seek the truth about what really happened and who or what is behind the tragedy.
How’d you get started as an artist?
I grew up drawing superhero characters. Highly influenced by X-Men and Mortal Kombat, which turned into a full on art carrier.Who or what influences your art?
My art influences come from everywhere. Cultural uniforms and costumes, nature, underwater creatures and fish, 70s visuals of science fiction and ideals of the future, and the Art Neuvue movement.
What is your creative process like?
Sometimes things come from dream visuals, sometimes from a fleeting thought or daydream. Usually I will develop those ideas and flush them out into visuals. Colour is important in my work so selecting a colour pallet takes a lot of that time. How do you feel our Art + Brewing initiative can benefit emerging artists?
I’ve always loved the Art + Brewing initiative. It’s a great way to bring great talent to a wider audience. Small but wonderful pieces of art, brought into people’s homes, the park, a social gathering or party.
