My artistic work is the result of my experiences living and working in various parts of Latin America. The rich and vibrant cultures of the places I’ve visited have been my main inspiration to create and share my artistic vision with others. My artistic name Planta Muisca represents what I paint, The Mhuysqa people are the original nation that lived in Bakata (Bogota, Colombia) before the Spanish colonization and planta means plant in Spanish. I paint digitally, my favourite medium is acrylic on wood and the majority of my work are murals, painting colourful pre-colombian figures and plants on a grey city wall is always a fun and empowering experience. Although, most of my murals are in Canada you can find some of my pieces in Colombia and Mexico, my dream is to continue painting around the world.
