About the Artist

Tim Singleton is a designer and illustrator from Toronto, ON, Canada. Bright, bold colours are a central part of Tim’s unmistakable work, which is heavily influenced by Drag culture and the underground clubs of the 1970s, ’80s and 90s.

Tim is one of the four artists we’ve teamed up with to celebrate Pride 2020. One of his pieces is featured on our limited-edition Pride series of Life in the Clouds and another is on limited-edition Collective More. apparel. Proceeds from both the cans and the apparel are going towards Rainbow Railroad, an organization which helps LGBTQI people facing possible persecution around the world find a path to safety.

“I’m so privileged that I get to make art and share art with people,” Tim says. “The idea that art can help someone else at the end of the day, it’s one of the best feelings in the world.”

Tim says the pieces featured on our Pride cans and apparel represent resilience and empowerment.

“I love the idea that these are going to be on a beer can, which is something that for the last 100 years has been considered fairly masculine and very binary,” he says.
