Accounts Payable Administrator, Full-Time, Hamilton ON

Role Profile
As the Collective Arts Brewing Accounts Payable Administrator you will report directly to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Supervisor and will provide a range of financial and administrative support services for the organization, including the Accounting Manager and VP Finance.
A typical day as an Accounts Payable Administrator includes:
  • Responsible for processing and paying Accounts Payable (AP) invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Monitor AP inboxes, and communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding all AP matters (invoices, credits, statement and account reconciliation, inquiries, discrepancies)
  • Obtain approvals and verifying invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Review and investigate open Goods Receipts and Purchase Orders
  • Process payments including cheques, automatic withdrawals, PayPal payments, down payments and wire payments in accounting system
  • Prepare and distribute AP Aging reports and maintain vendor payment schedule
  • Regular monitoring of  AP subledger to maintain accurate vendor accounts, and reconcile any discrepancies as necessary
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close process
  • Maintaining and enforcing purchasing policy
  • Special projects, as required
As we continue to grow and continue to launch areas of the business we need someone who has sound judgment and has the ability to think on their feet and act quickly.
We’re looking for candidates who have/are:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related finance role
  • Post-secondary degree (business, mathematics, or something related)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with a strong focus in Excel
  • Strong understanding of the AP process
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively with other departments
  • Prior experience with SAP an asset
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is a significant asset
  • Ability to develop and implement procedures with respect to AP process
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Extremely detail oriented, organized and a problem solver
  • Strong data entry skills and good mathematical aptitude
  • Enthusiastic, team orientated, and a quick learner
