Diversity in Beer Panel
We’re hosting a panel discussion open to the public on the topic of diversity (or lack there of) within the beer industry. Ren Navarro of Beer Diversity will be moderating and speaking, along with Robin Lamarr of GoodBodyFeel, and Prathit Naniwadekar, the lead brewer at Equals Brewing.
If you’ve ever felt troubled by the lack of diversity in the beer industry and have wondered what you can do to make marginalized groups feel more welcome, this panel is for you. If you’ve literally never even considered it, then this panel is DEFINITELY for you! Bring your friends!
RSVP to reserve your spot. $5 suggested donation at the door.
Thursday, Nov. 21 | 6-9PM
You would be hard-pressed to find someone in the Ontario beer industry who doesn’t know and love Ren. For over seven years she has been regarded as one of the most respected members in the industry, spending much of those years in the field as a sales representative for renowned and award-winning breweries. Alongside her fervent love of the craft beer world is her determination to bring it to a more diverse audience. Ren is on the front-lines to initiate change both in and out of the industry. With her extensive knowledge in craft beer, passionate drive, and hilarious wit, Ren is here to educate, enlighten, and make craft beer approachable for a more diverse audience.
Before moving to Canada, Prathit brewed at a microbrewery for six months in Mumbai. He’s a graduate from Niagara College’s Brewmaster program and loves experimenting with new ingredients and designing novel recipes. Working alongside the motivated and positive individuals at Equals Brewing and brewing in a cutting-edge facility is what drives Prathit to deliver high-quality beer to his clients.
