Maple Syrup Barrel Aged Rum

Maple Syrup Barrel Aged Rum! You read that right! 

We are always crafting up something new here at Collective Arts and this journey has led the team to our first foray into rum. 

Our Rum is aged in Bourbon barrels that we then used to mature maple syrup. The Ontario sourced maple syrup is matured for 3 months in the barrels before being removed, we then add the back rum to the maple syrup barrels to finish the maturing process, capturing that maple flavour. 

In our rum you can find notes like vanilla, oak and maple syrup, while the barrel’s oaky sweet character is the first thing you’ll notice on the pallet. That sweetness is complemented by a spicy finish for a smooth, balanced rum. 

This spirit is perfect for being sipped on its own or enjoyed in a cocktail. Check out our favourite rum cocktail below! 

The Labyrinth 

1.5 oz of rum

0.5oz campari

1.5oz pineapple juice

0,5oz lime juice

0.5oz maple syrup

Combine in shaker with ice and mix. Strain in a tiki mug over ice. Serve with a slice of rum soaked pineapple or Maraschino cherry.
