Resident Artists: Maia Faddoul and Trevor Yardley-Jones

Maia Faddoul and Trevor Yardley-Jones are illustrator/designers based in Montreal, QC, Canada. Working side by side in their apartment, the pair draw inspiration from the rich, diverse art scene in their hometown.

A first-generation Canadian, Maia loves creating empowering, bright and colourful imagery, often celebrating Women. Maia’s work is lively, vibrant and clearly reflects what she describes as her main influences: “colour, Women, positivity and happiness!”

Trevor grew up with a love of punk rock, album covers, posters and all that is DIY; so it’s only fitting that he brings all that in to his illustrations. His style is a blend of more clean, graphic shapes and characters, mixed with a finer, grainy rendering technique with some vintage print textures for flavour.

We’ve worked with both Maia and Trevor many times over the years, most recently featuring Maia’s work on our Dry Gin & Soda with Grapefruit, Lemon & Thyme, and a piece from Trevor on our latest series of Ransack the Universe.

Look for a special-edition set of glassware featuring work by both Maia and Trevor available online and at the brewery now!

ABOUT THE RESIDENT ARTIST PROGRAM

Art connects us. The Collective Arts Resident Artist Program invites artists to collaborate with us in their home cities to create art, build community, and inspire creativity on a global scale. Our Resident Artist Program looks to create paying opportunities for artists, document and promote the process, and build lasting relationships in arts communities around the globe. We believe that the more creativity there is in the world, the better, and we’d like to introduce you to the people behind this creative movement. Follow along and meet the artists that we work with, their influences and the environmental inspirations behind their work.
