Series Artist: Quentin Celeste
Strasbourg, France
Quentin Celeste is a 30-year-old French freelance illustrator and Art director. He studied art and animation for 5 years in France, then worked in animation, mapping, and illustration, in Canada and Australia. He is also a mural artist (his most recent piece is on the Bondi Beach wall in Sydney). Recently, his illustrations have appeared in the book "Roller Derby / Girl Gang: An Art Anthology". His work is all about glam rock, underground culture, psychedelism, and 70's aesthetics. Influenced by the crazy characters he has met on his travels, the bands he's obsessed with (Velvet Underground, the Doors, David bowie, The Cramps), and old movies about rock'n'roll and teenage life (including many films by Gregg Araki). He is now working on self-publishing a booklet of illustrations, and doing some animations.
